Description:
The 6940 multiprogrammer allowed HP computers to communicate to many external devices or instruments. The 6940 allowed for connection to 16 external instruments. The 6941 ($900) was an extender for the multiprogrammer. It could connect up to 15 external devices. Using multiprogrammers and extenders, HP computers could connect to 240 external instruments.
