Description:
The RuggedWriter 480 was a 24-pin dot matrix printer with a maximum print speed of 480 characters per second. It had a wide carriage and handled multipart forms. It was marketed as having an unlimited duty cycle and a mean time between failure of 20,000 hours. It was sold as being fast, cheap and rugged. Unfortunately, the RuggedWriter was very unreliable and qualified as one of the museum's Products That Bombed.
