Description:
The 98221C was a tape drive cleaning kit for 9144A, 9145A, 9142A and 35401A tape drives. The kit included a cartridge for cleaning the drive's tape head.
Collector's Notes:
These cartridges are handy to have around when working with the old tape drives. The tape heads on these drives require frequent cleaning, especially since the tapes themselves are getting so old. The original foam pads that came with these kits are well past their use-by dates. You will need to make your own from new foam. You can use isopropyl alchohol to wet the pad before insertion into the tape drive.
